O QUE NÃO VÊS is a four-part public art installation made with Arraiolos stitch on metal structures, presented at Jardim Marechal Carmona in Cascais. Its forms, fields of colour and words question what it means to look at someone without truly knowing them: “Who sees me?”, “Who asks me?”, “Who knows?” and “What do I think?”. Light and the image of the Sun run through the work as metaphors for what remains unseen and for the possibility of encounter. Raised from the ground and placed in the garden, the Arraiolos stitch leaves its conventional domestic setting, becoming a sculptural language in public space.
