About the work
A pedra lembra begins with a material deeply embedded in the landscape of Mirandela, the archaeological finds. Stone exists across timescales far greater than our own, preserving traces of water, climate, buildings and people. The work suggests that memory does not belong solely to human beings: places, too, retain traces.
