BOADICEA

BOADICEA was conceived specifically for tapestry and explores different ways of working with the Arraiolos stitch, including the outline stitch associated with the earliest Arraiolos tapestries of the 16th century. The work evokes a feminine and wild instinct that resists being extinguished, asserting a presence of strength and autonomy. In 2022, it was presented in (IM)Materiality at Not a Museum, within the ARCO Lisboa VIP programme, with THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE.
