HELIA

Helia begins with the Sun as a life-generating force, imagining that energy in the feminine. The series considers light as a vital impulse, transformation and renewal, but also as movement: nothing remains entirely fixed. In Helia, the rotation of the work multiplies viewpoints and moves the tapestry away from its traditionally static condition; in Eos, dawn marks the passage between darkness and light, the moment when a new cycle begins. Together, the two works form a reflection on birth, vitality and the continual possibility of beginning again.
