ICARUS — A JOURNEY IN SEARCH OF THE SUN

I invite you to experience the sensation of flying high, like the figure from Greek mythology who dared to fly towards the sun, through the intricate universe of my tapestries. Icarus is an exhibition about the search for freedom, dreams and adventure. It speaks through tapestry, but also through my own journey to Kranj, crossing different cities accompanied by the sun. Each work offers a way of entering Icarus's journey, from the first impulse to rise to the moment of reaching the sky. The tapestries in this exhibition were selected to evoke both the joy and the challenge of flight, and the human desire to move towards what seems distant or unattainable. I invite you to enter these works and allow them to carry you towards places that first existed as dreams. For me, tapestry can be a way of moving between worlds and of experiencing life through material, image and imagination.
